Alaska’s “Bridge to Nowhere” has become the poster child for runaway government spending.

In our infographic this week, we explore through video and text the so-called Bridge to Nowhere from Ketchikan to Gravina Island, and the political ramnifications of the plan and the proposed alternatives.

Although I think a bridge to Gravina Island is excessive you have not mentioned the fact that the ferry cannot take vehicle traffic during extremely low tides. This means that emergency vehicles are cut off from the airport.
