Journalist Shannon Brownlee, author of the best-selling book Overtreatment and the basis for our last issue's cover story on this topic, wrote a very interesting Sunday column in The Washington Post about how many doctors and some media have made many Americans feel more anxious by constantly reminding them to be on the lookout for illness.
