When Kristina began to book and advertise her first tour—which started days after her high school graduation—she did so almost completely through MySpace.

Living in Polaroids’s music has a sweetness and vulnerability that in lesser hands or subject to the whims of a major record label marketing staff could feel painfully cloying. Stapelfeld sings and plays guitar with an unadorned directness that makes the melodies feel serene and beautiful.
