Kristina Stapelfeld’s music is about capturing moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.

By Michael Tedder

Meet Kristina Stapelfeld, aka Living in Polaroids, in our interview video. And also, see her perform live only for FLYP.At the age of 17, Living in Polaroids (aka Kristina Stapelfeld) is firmly part of a generation that grew up on music that was experienced through the Internet. When Kristina began to book and advertise her first tour—which started days after her high school graduation—she did so almost completely through MySpace.

Living in Polaroids’s music has a sweetness and vulnerability that in lesser hands or subject to the whims of a major record label marketing staff could feel painfully cloying. Stapelfeld sings and plays guitar with an unadorned directness that makes the melodies feel serene and beautiful.

Also..I think In my Dreams is supposed to be A Song For Crystal:-) I love the layout of this site...ps..I've never heard this version of 'A song for Crystal' I distinctly remember a catchy little piano riff..correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't heard it in over two or three years..

Am I seriously the only person who's commented on this wonderful music?

This is quite simply the best music I've heard in eons. I remember when I had added her to MySpace when she had about 500 page-views a few years back. I don't know how I thought about her music again...Oh I was thinking of going to New York for the march break in Canada..Yes. Anyway..this is just great. I want to know how and where I can buy the album.
